Khalifa International (National Stadium of Qatar) is the principal football stadium in Doha, Qatar was established in 1976. The sensational ground hosted several events like the AFC Asian Cup, Arabian Gulf Cup, Asian Games etc. The arena also served for FIFA Club World Cup 2019 matches, and the final match between Flamengo and Liverpool was also held there. Renovation & Construction:
It was renovated and expanded periodically during the whole period of its existence & management increased the no of seats from 2000 to 4000 in 2005. An unorthodox ceiling covering approximately 70% of the stadium was constructed in 2014. An urban refrigeration system was introduced to lessen energy consumption to keep the environment calm and pleasant. It is one of the renovated grounds for the FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar.
