Khalifa International (National Stadium of Qatar) is the principal football stadium in Doha, Qatar was established in 1976. It is located in the west of Doha near the central city and in the Corniche & Souq Waqif neighborhood. Al Khufus Metro train Station is quite near (only 17 meters away) from the ground, so it is easily accessible by football fans. People can also visit the stadium by taxi or car.

The sensational ground hosted several events like the AFC Asian Cup, Arabian Gulf Cup, Asian Games etc. The arena also served for FIFA Club World Cup 2019 matches, and the final match between Flamengo and Liverpool was also held there. Khalifa International Stadium also hosted the final match of the Asian Cup 2011, played between Australia and Japan.
IAAF World Championships 2019 in Athletics was organized there from September 27 to October 6. The stadium is equipped for all 6 games of the 2011 Pan Arab Games, including quarterfinals, semi-finals & final matches.
Renovation & Construction:
It was renovated and expanded periodically during the whole period of its existence & management increased the no of seats from 2000 to 4000 in 2005. An unorthodox ceiling covering approximately 70% of the stadium was constructed in 2014. An urban refrigeration system was introduced to lessen energy consumption to keep the environment calm and pleasant. It is one of the renovated grounds for the FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar.
